“Additional hazard classes” are classes used in addition to the basic hazard classes to assess the potential effects of chemicals and mixtures on health and the environment in more detail.
These classes serve to describe the hazard of a substance more specifically and help to fully assess the risks posed by the chemical. For example, long-term aquatic toxicity or targeted organ toxicity are examples of additional hazard classes.
