BMDL10 – The lower 95% confidence interval of a benchmark-dose representing a 10% response

“BMDL10” (Benchmark Dose Lower Confidence Limit for a 10% Response) refers to the lower limit of the confidence interval of the dose level at which a given chemical produces a 10% effect.

This concept is used particularly in determining safe dose limits and is evaluated with a 95% confidence interval to determine the minimum dose before adverse effects are observed. BMDL10 contributes to the accurate calculation of the safe use limits of chemicals.
