An on-site isolated intermediate is an intermediate that does not qualify as a non-isolated intermediate and is manufactured and used within the same facility for the synthesis of another substance.
The manufacture of the intermediate and its subsequent conversion into another substance take place at the same site, which may be operated by one or more legal entities. Under the KKDIK Regulation, on-site isolated intermediates are typically handled under strictly controlled conditions.
