SIEF (Substance Information Exchange Forum) is a communication and coordination platform established to facilitate the sharing of information among potential registrants of the same substance.
Its primary purpose is to avoid unnecessary duplication of testing, particularly animal testing, by enabling the exchange of existing data required for registration.
In addition, SIEFs help registrants discuss and, where possible, reach agreement on matters such as classification and labelling, supporting a more consistent and efficient registration process.
